Welcome
This is the family web site for the residents of the acreage called Dragonfly Meadow, south of Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada. It's main purpose is to be a reference point for family and friends who want to see what we are up to. It is also a distribution point for Doug's Weed Science Theses (M.Sc. on Bromus pectinatus and Ph.D. on Quackgrass interference).
This web site is rather "Plain Vanilla". The reason for this is that it allows easy web site maintenance. The original web site material is typed up on a Palm T3 using Note Studio and then exported into HTML on the PC. The HTML pages are then uploaded to the Cirrus Host server in Toronto using Core FTP. It may not result in the most colorful web site but it is simple, effective and affordable. It is also easily viewable on most applications.
